Thursday's Tutorial from Kim

I (Beth) would like to extend a special thank you to our talented Design Team member Kim for putting together this sweet flower tutorial for you on short notice...yep, I was late getting out the tutuorial schedule for 2011 and Kim covered for me...yeah Kim!... in fact, I want to extend a special thank you to ALL of our Designers, Jan, Tracy, Regan, Liz, Angi, Kim, Jennifer and C... not to mention my sweet Kristina and co-founder of PCS, who all so willingly take on last minute projects, and just generally help to make my part of running PCS easier and Papercraft Star look so darn good (oh, and who all put up with me too)! :-) Thank you so much, I am so honored to be a part of such a great organization and team! 

Okay... now enough babble, here's that fabulous tutorial from Kim... visit Kim's blog, Paper Loves Glue to see more of her fantastic work!

Supplies:

• Your favorite paper (double-sided is best)
• Glue
• Scalloped circle punch

Step 1. Punch out nine circles using a scalloped shaped circle punch. 

Step 2. Set aside one of the scalloped circles. Fold each of the remaining eight circles in half, three times each. Each piece will look like a small triangle wedge. 

Step 3. Apply a generous amount of glue to the scalloped circle that you had set aside in step 2.

Step 4. Adhere each folded piece to the glue, starting in the center and working your way around the edge. It should come together and look similar to a sliced piece of pie. Let it dry.

Step 5. Once the glue has dried, you can add buttons, brads, small flowers, or any other embellishments you want. Just have fun and get creative!

Jan

Jan hopes to become more encouraging this year, and she chose the word "Inspire" as her New Year's Resolution. She has more info on her blog about the recycling on this card - check it out !

Regan

Regan isn't one for making New Years Resolutions, but goals... YES! She has several for this year but this project is representative of her goal to spend more time crafting with her children! She chose to use the fabulous digis supplied by PinkCatStudio to make Valentines with her girls. To see her daughters and Husband's valentines along with details, please visit her blog.

Tracy

Tracy's New Year's crafting resolution is two fold. She's been so blessed this year to be able to be involved in the internet world of blogging and Design Teams, and the New Year to come holds yet new adventures. So part of her resolution is to continue to be involved and share with other crafters and the other part is to "focus" on fine tuning and figuring out exactly what crafting styles work best for her. When she saw this Mo's Digital Pencil image she knew it was the perfect way to demonstrate her plans for the crafting New Year. LIZ

Liz decided to choose a word for 2011 to focus on - simplify! For her, this means to not only simplify her life materially but also to concentrate on the simple things in life and to find joy in these things. Her simple layout shows this - enjoying a simple moment in life, a moment to treasure.

Kim

Kimberly's New Year's Resolution is to have more fun in all the little things of life. She created this fun card to illustrate her intentions to be more silly, laugh a little more, and do make light of all the challenges that life can bring. Kim used this fun little digi stamp from our sponsor, Pink Cat Studio to set the tone for her New Year's Resolution. Visit Kim's blog for more inspiration and a list of supplies.

Angi

Angi wanted to have some fun with one of her New Year's resolutions this year! She is going to do her best to stay out of the Starbucks drive through line. Check out Angi's blog to see how she used fun items including a Starbucks coffee cup sleeve on her layout.

Jennifer
