Liz Chidester Sketch
Our Guest Designer This Week
Our Senior Design Team
One of Jan's "favorite things" is passing along a friendship card to someone she cares about. The sketch this week prompted another "friend" card, and Jan used a few simple tools to accomplish that. She says she is awfully fond of her My Favorite Things stamps !
Liz used the cute stamp 'Love Machine' from My Favourite Things to make this week's card. She also used a sentiment from this stamp set. She loved working with the sketch to make this cute card for her hubby.
Tracy
Tracy created these yummy little recipe card pages for a Vintage Valentine recipe swap. The cute little bakers are called "Flappers in the Kitchen". They are part of the Flapper Doodle stamp series at My Favorite Things. The pair were colored with Copic markers and mounted on some thin chipboard that was covered with fun Valentine papers. The recipe card was created on kraft text paper and cut using a Die-namics Notebook Edge die also from My Favorite Things. You can visit Tracy's blog to see the back of the card and find a supply list.Regan
Regan decided to take this sketch and run with it by creating a 12X12 scrapbook page! She pulled inspiration from the tag and layers of the sketch. For her sentiment, she used the PI-Bedtime Story stamp by My Favorite Things. For more photos and details, please visit her blog. Our Design Team
Angi
Angi had fun with the sketch this week by creating a Mini Friendship Note Card. She used some fun paper to make the tag. Angi placed the sentiment in the center by using a "Sweet" sticker along with the word "Friendship" from My Favorite Things stamps. To see more details of her mini note card please visit Angi's blog.
Kimberly
Kimberly used so many fun techniques to create her card from this week's sketch. Kim was able to combine paper piecing and Copic markers to color the adorable image from the "Make the Grade" stamp set provided by My Favorite Things Stamps. Notice the shoes? Kim applied Glossy Accents to make them shiny - just like Mary Jane shoes! Be sure to visit Kim's blog at Paper Loves Glue for all the details. Our Auxiliary Design Team
Challenge 33 was great fun and gave C the perfect excuse to make a birthday card for a friend. In this card C used some old Scenic Route paper she had lying around coupled it with her new stamp set and die combination from My Favorite Stamps. The set is called Polka Dot Greetings and comes with the great Die-namics die to match. For more information on this card visit C at her website - Trade Fish Designs.
Jennifer chose this great stamp from My Favorite Things and used both Copic markers and paper-piecing techniques to add color to the image. The card is finished with a polka dot tag and two pretty ribbons. Head over to her blog for the details!
Don't forget, we have a great message board too, with lots of ideas, thoughts, questions and a couple of real fun things - hope to see you there !
Link up between now and Saturday noon ( Eastern, US) to enter this week's contest, and to be eligible for one of our weekly and/or monthly prizes !!
