OUR GUEST DESIGNER THIS WEEK

Kate was the Papercraft Star People's Choice Award winner for Challenge 25 and part of her prize included a Guest Designer spot here at Papercraft Star! Congratulations Kate!

Kate
Hello! My name is Kate and I’m thrilled to be a guest designer here at Papercraft Star this week. I live in Ontario, Canada with my husband and our three gorgeous children. I am a former teacher who is now “on the other side of the desk” working toward a Master of Education and Digital Technology. I’ve always enjoyed crafting and began making cards about 3 years ago. I was introduced to the blogging world last year and have been overwhelmed by the friendship and support I’ve been offered. I love to learn from the many talented crafters who share their creations over the internet. Although I do make the occasional layout, tag, or altered item, most of my creations are cards which I delight in giving away in order to brighten another’s day.

For this challenge Kate created this beautiful Sweet 16 gift collection. You can see more of Kate's designs at her blog Small Bits of Paper right here.

SENIOR DESIGN TEAM

Tracy
Tracy created her own paper using alcohol inks and Ranger Glossy paper for her project for this week's challenge. Her image, called "Lily baked a Pie", is colored with Copic markers.

Regan
Regan really enjoyed this challenge and had fun with the color combination! She added ribbon and dry embossing as her two elements. For her image she used this cute owl digi called Patches by PinkCatStudio. For more photos and details, please visit her blog.

Liz
Using this week's great combination of colours Liz scrapped a beautiful photo of her daughter. She used her Spellbinders Circle Die Cuts to make the layered embellishments. She also added some pom pom ribbon, buttons and rhinestones to complete the layout.

DESIGN TEAM

Angi
Angi loves the fun colors in this week's challenge. She took the opportunity to make a "boy" card for an upcoming craft show that she is participating in. She had fun mixing stripes, scallops, ribbon, and felt trim on her card. To see more details be sure to visit Angi's blog.

Kimberly
Kimberly loved the colors from the challenge this week. They were the perfect combination to create a birthday card for her son, which is later this month! And the "Rex Loves Cake" digi stamp from Pink Cat Studio was the perfect image to create a fun birthday card for her son. Kim was able to use ribbon, a die cut circle with an embossed edge and a digi stamp to fill all the challenge details. Be sure to stop by Kim's blog for a list of products used and more inspiration!

Auxiliary Design Team

C
C is having fun using the colors in this week's challenge. She is Just Chillin' with her CTMH paper and thinks that it sets off her beautiful digital stamp from the Pink Cat Studio called Tulips in Easter Vase. Visit C's blog, Trade Fish Designs, for more details about her card.

Jennifer
Jennifer loved the bright colors of this week's challenge and created this adorable kid's card using another great image from Pink Cat Studio! Head over to her blog to see more!

Link up your submissions between now and Saturday noon (Eastern, US) to be eligible for this weeks great prize !! Public voting begins thereafter, and continues until midnight Monday. Great colors this week for your inspiration.

Tomorrow brings Angi's tutorial - you will want to return for that !!
