A New Challenge, the Kraft Outlet and Scrapbook Circle too!

Welcome to this week's Papercraft Star Simon Says Challenge 20 and the first week of challenges for the month of November.  We have a lot of exciting prizes and activities going on this month!

First, all month long four of our Design Team members,  Jan (Our Design Team Coordinator), and Designers Regan, Tracy and Christy will create all of their projects using products from our Design Team sponsor, the Kraft Outlet

Kraft Outlet is your source for Brown Kraft Labels, Kraft Paper and Cardstock, Hang Tags and Printing Supplies! Kraft Outlet is a leading online vendor for Brown Kraft Labels, Kraft Paper and Cardstock. Whether you are needing to make business cards, hang tags, bag toppers, product or address and shipping labels the Kraft Outlet's specialty papers and labels will help you achieve that old time worn look!  Kraft Outlet - helping you achieve the look you want, at an affordable price!

During this special event, our group of talented Designers will show you how to use some of the amazing products available for purchase online at the Kraft Outlet. We hope you'll take the time to visit the Kraft Outlet today!

We are also proud to announce our Grand Prize sponsor for November, Scrapbook Circle!  At Scrapbook Circle, they have been creating monthly scrapbooking kits for over 4 years love every minute of it! They also love sharing their ideas and getting to know other paper crafters on their blog, on Twitter, in their idea gallery, as well as on Facebook.

Unlike many other clubs with scrapbooking kits, they do not require a long commitment to be a subscriber. You just commit to receiving 2 consecutive kits to receive the subscriber's lower price. They also offer single kit purchases.  Additionally, they love combining a lot of manufacturers in their kits plus each kit includes a custom pdf download designed to coordinate with the monthly kit.

As a way of introducing Scrapbook Circle to our participants here at Papercraft Star, the Scrapbook Circle is offering their November kit as the November Grand Prize!  To be eligilible to win the kit, participate in one or more challenges during the month of November (the more times you participate the more chances you have to win!) and we'll randomly select the winner of this fabulous kit on November 30, 2010!

For those of you just joining us for the first time, you'll find a variety of different challenges here each week, all of them meant to inspire you to create. We think you'll agree that her work is very inspiring!

Hello there! My name is Kimberly Anne and I am head-over-heels to be the November Challenge 20 Guest Designer for Papercraft Star! Allow me to tell you more about myself and my love for paper and glue. I am a mom of two children – a boy and a girl and am engaged to be married next year to my best friend.

You might say I have always been the crafty one in my family with a decorative eye. I love vintage, antiques, and the tattered and worn. Although I now work away from the home full-time, I used to be self-employed and sold antiques in stores and at flea markets. My love of antiques came from my grandmother who used to work in the sorting room of an old shop. I used to love visiting her and sorting through the treasures. The best part was that she always let me pick something to take home!

Nowadays, I spend most of my free time creating cards as a hobby to give to my friends and family. They always tease me because I’ve been known to take my craft with me! You can find me crafting in the trailer during our family camping trips or coloring during my lunch break. And sometimes you will find some vintage finds incorporated into my creations!

You can view my designs over at my blog. I hope you find some inspiration there and share your work here with us at Papercraft Star!

Kraft Outlet products are featured in the Design Team projects by Jan, Christy,Tracy and Regan

Jan

Jan was really looking forward to November, and the Kraft Outlet goodies ! She used Kraft Outlet papers three times on this card, as the cardstock, which she stamped, as the flowers, which she also stamped, and the tag she ran through the Cuttlebug. Check out her blog for all the fun details.

Christy

Christy had a blast using goodies from The Kraft Outlet this week.  In her card she used the Library Cards, Kraft cardstock, and blue Bakers Twine.  There's something fun about all these colors together don't ya think?

Tracy
Tracy made a fun birthday card for this Simon Says Recipe challenge.  The card base and mat for the image are made with Kraft cardstock from our Design Team sponsor this month, Kraft Outlet.  The cardstock mats are wrapped with hemp and accented with a punched flower that's been  inked and given a center of microbeads.  The cute little House Mouse stamp was colored with watercolor pencils.

Regan

Regan did what Simon said and created this pretty little Christmas card using kraft card stock from Kraft Outlet! She loves the vintage feel the kraft card stock gave her project. For the challenge this week she got out her sewing machine to do some fun stitching to add some interest. She tied her ribbon through the button and added a punched ornament behind it. Please visit her blog for more information.

 Liz

Liz loves recipe challenges and this week's Simon Says challenge is no exception. Liz mainly used the colour purple with just a bit of green and some glitter to finish off her card.

Now before you run off to create your project for this week... just one final bit of information (whew!).  This week's prize sponsor is Papercraft Star!  We thought it would be fun to provide one opportunity per month for our People's Choice Award winner to have the chance to win a Guest Designer spot at Papercraft Star as well!  To have a chance to win this opportunity to be featured on the Papercraft Star blog, all you have to do is participate in this week's challenge (link it up below) and if your project takes the top vote, we'll set aside a Guest Designer spot just for you!

Okay... now, it's time to get your craft-on.  And don't forget to stop back by tomorrow and Friday for more Designer Team reveals!
