Challenge 8 - Buttons, Bows, Bling & Prizes !

Welcome to Challenge 8 here at Papercraft Star - with our theme of Buttons, Bows and Bling !

First though, we want to announce prizes this week, courtesy of our executive committee ! YIPPEE ! We will award a prize of a $10 Michael's gift card to our Papercraft Star People's Choice Challenge 8 winner.

BUT, that's not all ! If you visit our message board, and post ten times throughout this challenge week you will be in the running for our first message board prize, a $10.00 My Favorite Things gift card. Both winners will be announced Tuesday 8/17. Very very cool, huh. !!

You can begin submitting your cards, layouts or altered projects right now, and our submissions will close at noon Saturday 8/14. Then our voting begins, and concludes on Monday 8/16.

So, let's see what our design team has in store for us this week. Should be a wide range of inspiration for us !

Jan

Jan loves the vintage look, so she took the opportunity to create this button, bow, bling look just that way !

Liz

Liz used this week's challenge - buttons, bows and bling to make a card. She used a 'bling' brad for the centre of her flower, made a bow out of twine and attached some buttons around the corners of the card. For this card Liz used Graphic 45's new collection 'Hallowe'en in Wonderland'.

Regan

This week's Challenge of Buttons, Bows and Bling was the perfect opportunity for Regan to create a 12X12 layout of her daughter! She used cotton thread to create little bows in the centers of the buttons and satin ribbon to create another bow. She accented the satin bow with pink lace on either side and added the pink "wish" bling as her title! For more photos and details, please see her blog.

Caroline

This week Caroline was feeling in the holiday spirit and made this lovely Christmas card. She used the Cuttlebug lace tree embossing folder and some iRock heat set gems.
