Our Design Team

Kim
Kim used the orange and gray from the inspirational photo to create a rootin' tootin' card. As an added pop of color, she added a splash of purple ribbon inspired by the flower in the photo. Be sure to visit Kim's blog for details on how she created her pleated ribbon or her technique for embossing patterned paper!

Tracy
Tracy has created a fun birthday card with a cute birthday bear image and several of the colors, major and minor, from the inspiration photo.  The image is colored with Copic markers.

Regan
The black, white and orange in the inspiration photo intrigued and inspired Regan this week. Using the colors from the photo she created these elegant baby cards. She did some heat embossing, emboss resist and misting when creating her cards. For more photos and details, please visit her blog Emora Designs.

Jan
It is back to the '60s for Jan this week.  Stop by chaiteanme, say "peace", and grab all the details!!

We will be a little quieter here over the summer, dropping down to just one post a week, but we will continue with each weekly challenge, just as always !

Watch for our Design Team call later on this month, as we add two more talented ladies (or guys!) - you may be exactly what we are looking for !!

Meanwhile, thanks to both Beth and Kristina, whose vision brought about Papercraft Star.  You cannot imagine all the hard work they both put into this endeavor,  we will surely miss them.  Please stop by their blogs, Beth, and Kristina, and wish them the very best !

Thursday Tutorial: Summer Re-Runs with Kristina Harmon

Like we'd mentioned before, summer is upon us in the United States and we're arranging our schedules and Design Team commitments for the summer months (so that the Design Team can have a bit of a break now and again).... so just like on television, we'll be playing some "re-runs" during the summer and until our new Design Team starts in September.

These re-runs are actually tutorials that the lovely Kristina Harmon shared over at The Kraft Journal earlier this year... but in case our followers here at Papercraft Star missed them, we are going to play a few for you on our Thursday tutorial days!  We hope you enjoy them!

Don't forget, there is still time to join this week's challenge here at Papercraft Star.  You can find our current challenge and enter by following the Current Challenge link located in the upper right hand sidebar of the blog!

In recognition of these masculine stamps we are holding DUAL CHALLENGES all month long. As a participant in our challenges you can choose to create a project using the current challenge theme as it is written or take it a step further (like our Design Team did) and use the challenge theme to create a masculine project, or you can even choose to enter two projects, one for the regular challenge and one for the challenge with a masculine twist.

As a special gift to the winner of each week's challenge, TradeFish Designs will award one stamp set (selected by the winner) to our top Papercraft Star too, so we hope you join us for all our challenges this month!

Our Challenge This Week !

Use this photo as inspiration for your project this week.

Our Design Team

Regan
For the challenge this week, Regan pulled the pink and gray colors from the inspiration photo to create this humorous card using the Happy Father's Day set from TradeFish Designs. Regan actually created two cards this week! To see both cards and the inside of this one, please visit her blog Emora Designs.

Jan
Jan's thoughts of summer travel twisted her card this week in that direction!  She used a sentiment from the "Missing You" series of stamps from TradeFish Design.  Please stop by her blog, chai tea 'n me, and say hi !

Kim
Kim used the colors, pink and gray, from the inspirational photo to create a fun and vintage-style greeting card. She even used a seashell and starfish to give it a true beach-like style! The stamped Wish You Were Here sentiment from TradeFish Designs makes this card complete. For a list of supplies, be sure to stop by Kim's blog and say hello.

 Tracy
Tracy used the predominant gray and white colors of the photo inspiration with a tiny bit of pink mixed in on the trout.  She embossed some decorative lines into the white mat for some added interest.  The sentiment is from the "Missing You" stamp set by TradeFish Designs.

Don't forget our tutorial tomorrow, and Kristina's Executive Reveal on Friday !

Link up between now and Sunday, 9pm (Eastern US) to be eligible for our prizes this month !!
