Thursday's Tutorial from Kim !!

Hi everyone! Kim here to share with you another tutorial for quick and easy flowers using scrap pieces of gift wrap tissue paper. If you're like me, you may have plenty of tissue paper leftover from gift wrapping. If so, these quick and easy spiral flowers are a cinch to create and will use up some of that tissue paper you may have been holding on to!

So let's get started!

Supplies:
Tissue paper
Glue
Scrap Paper
Glimmer Mist (optional)
Bling (optional)

Step 1. Take one sheet of tissue paper and fold into three of four layers. Cut the layers into strips approximately 1" wide. Measurements do not have to be exact - just eyeball it.

Step 2. Twist each stack of layered tissue paper. Spray with Glimmer Mist (optional way to color white tissue paper).

Step 3. Roll each piece into a spiral.

Step 4. Punch out 1" circles and glue onto the back of the spiral tissue paper to provide support.

Step 5. Cut tissue paper into the shape of leaves. Spray with Glimmer Mist and adhere to back of spiral flower. Add a piece of bling to the center of the flower.

Now your flower is ready to embellish any of your papercraft creations! I hope you have fun creating your own version of these little flowers! If you create one, I'd love to see it. You can stop by my blog to share what you've created.

Link up between now and Sunday evening, 9pm (Eastern, US) for a chance at our weekly and monthly prizes !!

Just as a reminder, you can use our theme this week to create any project of your choosing, or use it to create a masculine project like the one Beth created here. You can learn more about this card at Beth's blog.

Regan
Regan had a great time using the Happy Father's Day stamp set from TradeFish designs along with the sketch this week. She did some fussy cutting and inking to create this fun father's day card. For more photos and information, please visit her blog Emora Designs.

Tracy
Tracy used alcohol inks to create the background panels on her card. The image is stamped with Distress ink and the chipboard star was double coated with embossing powder and imprinted with a rubber stamp. She also added some Baker's twine and some silver brads. She used TradeFish Designs "Missing You" stamp set.

Jan
The perfect sketch for Jan's DCWV Tattered Time design papers ! She made use of her Cuttlebug folders, and Spellbinders too. Her blog has all the details.

Kim
Kim followed the sketch to create a card for her son using a sentiment from Missing You stamp set from Tradefish Designs. Kim curved the stamp and hand-cut her sentiment into a fun shaped banner. Be sure to stop by Kim's blog for a list of supplies and to say hello.
