For the entire month of June our Design Team is being sponsored by Tradefish Designs, a company devoted to creating stamps with masculine themes, imagery and sentiments. In recognition of these masculine stamps we are holding DUAL CHALLENGES all month long. As a participant in our challenges you can choose to create a project using the current challenge theme as it is written or take it a step further (like our Design Team did) and use the challenge theme to create a masculine project, or you can even choose to enter two projects, one for the regular challenge and one for the challenge with a masculine twist.

As a special gift to the winner of each week's challenge, Tradefish Designs will award one stamp set (selected by the winner) to our top Papercraft Star too, so we hope you join us for all our challenges this month!

As a special gift to all our Papercraft Star followers you can use this code, PCSTAR10, for a 10% discount at Tradefish Designs all month !!

Our Dual Challenge Design Team Reveal

Beth

Beth (one of our Executive Team members) was inspired to participate in the dual challenge this month and used the inspiration photograph to create this "Grandpa" card that features stamps by our Design Team sponsor, Tradefish Designs. About this card, Beth said, "I chose to basically ignore the Anniversary or Wedding restriction of our challenge this week, in order to create a masculine card because... I just had to use this week's gorgeous photo as inspiration for a Father's Day card that I planned for my grandson Jack to give to his grandfather. Beth went on to say, " I hope our participants in the challenges this month take advantage of our dual challenges for each week and feel free to step outside the box to create masculine projects using our themes for inspiration".

Jan

This week Jan made an anniversary card for her husband. The card is simple, but elegant. She found the PERFECT sentiment from Tradefish Designs. Instructions for this very easy card are on her blog - stop by and say hello.

Kim

Kim created a card for a wedding celebration or an anniversary. Kim framed the sentiment from the "Missing You" stamp set provided by Tradefish Designs and layered it onto a pleated ribbon. Perfect for a June wedding! Be sure to stop by Kim's blog for a list of supplies and to say hello.

Tracy

Tracy has created a very simple anniversary card using the photo inspiration colors for this week. She has used embossing and machine stitching to add texture to the card and a pretty chalked heart doily as a backdrop for the shimmery yellow flower. Her sentiment is from the Missing You stamp set from Tradefish Designs.

Regan

Regan thought this challenge might be a little difficult but she put this card together pretty quick! She used the colors from the photo as her inspiration. What a great card for the groom or father of the bride; it would even work as an anniversary card. For more photos and details, please visit her blog Emora Designs.

Friday's Executive Reveal from Jan !!

♥♥♥♥♥♥

Hi ! Welcome to today's Executive Reveal at Papercraft Star. This is our last week with most of our Design Team - we will sure miss Angi, Jen and Cecilia. Meanwhile, I will carry on with Tracy, Regan and Kim until the end of the summer. AND of course, we still have our founders, Beth and Kristina.

This week we have this sketch !

And here is my idea of that same sketch .... We also had to include
1) 1 card stock paper
2) 2 patterned papers
3) 3 pieces of bling

Still working on more "girly" with my favorite card colors. This is a wonderfully easy sketch to work with, and I know I will be using it again.

Hope you are looking forward to a wonderful long Memorial Weekend here in the States - I am hoping someone will cook outside for me !

Still time to link up here at Papercraft Star with your entries !!

Summer Re-Runs at Papercraft Star with Kristina Harmon

The mild weather is finally upon us in the United States and we're arranging our schedules and Design Team commitments for the summer months (so that the Design Team can have a bit of a break now and again).... so just like on television, we'll be playing some "re-runs" during the summer and until our new Design Team starts in September.

These re-runs are actually tutorials that the lovely Kristina Harmon shared over at The Kraft Journal earlier this year... but in case our followers here at Papercraft Star missed them, we are going to play a few for you on our Thursday tutorial days!  We hope you enjoy them!

Today Designer Kristina Harmon shares a sweet Matchbook project perfect for Valentine's Day.  Enjoy!

Remember, there is still time to get in on our current challenge here at Papercraft Star this week too!  Check out the link in our top right sidebar to learn more and enter your project too!!
