Challenge 7 - Friday Inspiration
(Click HERE to enter your project)
It's time for our last 4 designers to show you what they created using the photo inspiration for challenge 7. Don't forget that you only have until Saturday 12 Noon (eastern time) to get your creation linked up before the voting begins. We can't wait to see what you have come up with!
Stephanie
Stephanie took inspiration from the tiny flowers in the photo and the white comforter. Using a soft blue as the base, Stephanie created a quick card using some pretty papers by DCWV and the Cricut Plantin cricut cartridge.
Steph D
Steph D. created this card using Webster's Pages' Lullaby Lane papers and Webster's Pages' trims. The photo, which includes the word "Circus," some animals, and stripes, inspired her to create something with those elements.
Suzy
Suzy took the design element of stripes from the car seat - as well as the little lion motif and made this adorable wall hanging for a baby shower. Check out her blogfor details.
Tracy
Tracy chose to make an easel card for this week's photo inspiration. She incorporated the stripes and bright yellow accent colors of the photo and added a beautiful scripture sentiment as the focal point.
Be sure to come back on Saturday afternoon and vote for your favorite project!

If you missed the photo, here it is again. Aren't those little critters so darned cute?
Three more of our design team have been hard at work, and came up with these creations.
Christy
Christy found inspiration from the lion in our picture challenge for this week. This was fun card to put together, filled with lots of little details. To make the lion's mane, Christy cut 2 asterisk marks on her Cricut and then cut each "arm" of the asterisk in 3 equal parts. Add a little bit of curl with a pencil and you have it! Amazing what a few separate diecuts can shape up to be!Dawn
All that Dawn saw when she looked at our inspiration were stripes and a friendly little lion! She based her whole layout, on the adorable Lion from Create A Critter, and used photos of her daughter (much younger) with their lion-ish Shih Tzu!
Catherine
This challenge started off tough but she really enjoyed this challenge and how her project turned out! Catherine loved that pop of bright orangish yellow color and used it as the main color for her layout. She also included shades of light blue and black.
Remember, you have until Saturday Noon (eastern time) to get your project linked up before the voting begins. Come back tomorrow and see what our last four designers did with this photo.

Now, on to Challenge 7 our Photo Inspiration. Kristina chose this darling picture with stripes and circus animals for our inspiration this week.
Our design team has found a wide range of ideas, and we can't wait to see what yours will be. You have until Saturday, August 7, at Noon (eastern time) to get your project linked up, then the voting will begin. Even if you don't submit a project for this challenge, be sure to come back and vote for your favorite entry.
Here are our first 4 designers this week - you are sure to find something that will spark your imagination!
Jan
Jan loves black and white, and in combination with just about any color. This week's photo prompted the touch of gray, and two shades of cheerful yellow.
Regan
This week, Regan created a 12X12 layout using the colors, the lion and the repetitive pattern as her inspiration from the photo! She used chipboard and a border punch to add dimension to her page. She created a repetitive pattern by stamping an image repeatedly on card stock. Find more photos and details on her blog.
Liz

This week's photo inspiration is perfect for Liz as she loves scrapping her children. She used the colours from the photo, mainly red with a hint of green and cream, to scrap some photos of her son when he was a baby. She added a few embellishments to finish off the layout.
Caroline

Caroline said that every time she looked at the picture inspiration the stripes just kept calling out her name so she decided to mimic the stripes in the picture onto her card. This was a simple card using only 1 cricut cartridge. Yep, you guessed it, her favorite basic shape cart .... George.
Come back tomorrow for 3 more designer creations - and don't forget to stop at our forum for ideas, tutorials, the question of the day, and lots of other goodies. We want to meet you!
