Challenge #6 - A Sketch

We are so happy you came to join us for Challenge #6. If you have been following us, you have already seen the sketch for this challenge.

Beth created this simple card sketch for us....

If you are not a card maker, no problem. Turn this sketch into a layout or other project of your choice. You don't have to color inside the lines here at PCS.
Our design team has created everything from simple to elaborate with this sketch. We can't wait to see what you come up with.
You have until Saturday July 31st,  Noon (eastern time) to get your project linked up, then the voting will begin. Even if you don't submit a project for this challenge, be sure to come back and vote for your favorite entry.

Okay, lets get on to our first four designers. They are sure to inspire you with their creations.

Jan

She is not a girly girl, but you would never know it from Jan's pink creation. If you like Tim Holtz, there is lots of it here !

Caroline

Caroline made a simple summery thank you card using the wild card cartridge and the "hide selected contour" on the gypsy to delete a portion of the Lattice cut.

Liz

This week's sketch inspired Liz to do a 'sympathy' card. Instead of using the words 'with sympathy' Liz chose to use a rubon of a beautiful quote as her title. She chose beautiful patterned paper that works well with lace and pearls giving the card a vintage look.

Regan

Regan used this weeks Sketch challenge to create a masculine birthday card. With two men in her life having birthdays this month, it seemed like the perfect fit! She used earth tones, hemp and antique copper brads to give that masculine feel, but lightened it up by using a border punch! You can find out more on her blog.

See, what did I tell ya.....lots of inspiration here!  Be sure to come back tomorrow and see three more designers projects.

Thursday Inspiration - Challenge 5

(Link up your project right HERE)

Welcome back! So glad you could join us. Today we'll share the rest of the Designer's projects for Challenge 5- Circles. Normally we would split these up between Thursday and Friday, but this Friday is the start of our first ever Papercraft Star Blog Hop. Be sure to come back tomorrow and play along, there are lots of paper crafting goodies to be won!

So, on to our wonderful Designer's inspiration for the Circles challenge....

Catherine

Catherine chose to layer her circles, and used a small flower print to add more circle like images to the layout. She chose to incorporate a scalloped journal sheet that match the patterned paper.

Regan

Regan was inspired to make a circle shaped mini album with this weeks challenge. She used old CDs to create the base of the mini album. For embellishments she used buttons, circle punches and bling! She even used a "2 Piece Set" circle tag that came off of an outfit she purchased! For more information and pictures of this project, please visit her blog.

Tracy

Circles abound on this easel card that Tracy created. The focal point of the card is a stamped image that she layered with Nestabilities die cuts. Even the stamped image has lots of bubbly circles. You can find a close up of the accents she used on the bath tub and bubbles on her blog.

Stephanie A.

This week at Papercraft Star, it's all about circles. Stephanie used a swiss dot background paper on which she added a frame and several circles about friendship.

Christy

Circles, Circles, Circles!  Christy made some darling little lollipop flowers motivated by our challenge this week!  She started with a blank canvas that she painted light yellow and went on to finish up with lots if diecuts from her punches and Cricut!  The "grass" was done by cutting thin strips of paper and rolling them to a desired length adding more...CIRCLES!

Suzy

As soon as she saw the "circles" theme, Suzy knew she had to scrapbook this photo of her husband and his coworkers playing a round of charity golf earlier this summer. Let's just say they were the talk of the tournament LOL! Head over to her blog to read more about how she made this layout.

Dawn

This week, our challenge is circles. Dawn grasped that guideline and ran with it! Lots of circles fill this page, the background paper also being covered in (you guessed it...) circles as well! She added some embossing and sanding for dimension, and bling to spruce up the vintage look of the page.

Steph D.

Steph D. was inspired by the Basic Grey Granola DP to create this Circle-themed card. She used Graphic 45 A Proper Gentleman images, including circular clocks, and a vintage button along with some jute ribbon and string.

Weren't they great! That's LOADS of inspiration all in the same day. So get rollin and create your Circle project. You've got until 12 Noon Eastern time on Saturday to get your project linked up. After that, the voting begins. Be sure to come back and vote for your favorite entry.

Don't forget, tomorrow is the first day of the PCS Blog Hop! Be sure to come back and check out what is happening, you won't want to miss it!
