More DT Members and Papercraft Star Info!

Only 8 more days! Yep, just eight days until Papercraft Star Challenges begin!  Have you checked out the gorgeous red, white and bling inspiration photograph on the left sidebar yet?  That photo is for the first challenge, which means that you have plenty of time to get that project ready before we start accepting submissions on June 23, 2010.  Submissions for the first challenge will be open from June 23 through Saturday the 26th at noon.  After that, the voting begins!  Votes will be accepted from Saturday noon until late Monday night.  The winner of the challenge will receive a snazzy little Papercraft Star People's Choice Award button for their blog as well as some very yummy paper-crafty goodness package mailed to their home to kick off our first official challenge at Papercraft Star!

Greetings! My name is Christy and I am honored to be a part of the Design Team here at Papercraft Star! I am a Radiologic Technologist by day and scrappy crafter by night! My family consists of my wonderful husband and two beautiful children, they are my world! I started scrapping in high school and although my style has changed my passion for the craft has not!

Hello - I am Jan. I am a retired college instructor, and live in Eugene, Oregon with my husband. For fun I do tournament scoreboards and computers for the Oregon Golf Association. Papercrafting is pretty new to me, but crafting has been a huge part of my life for many many years. I am always looking to learn and grow ! Papercraft Star Design Team is an exciting endeavor, and I am so happy to be a part of it.

Meet the Papercraft Star Design Team

By now we hope that many of you have had a chance to look around our new challenge blog and taken note of the up-coming challenges we'll host starting on June 23, 2010! As we gear up to kick off our first challenge we'll spend every day this week introducing you to your new Papercraft Star Design Team!

Our plan is to introduce two or three members of the team starting today and then every day through Friday, followed by a brief bio about the Judges and Co-creators of this blog on Saturday... after which, it will be but a few short days and we'll officially introduce the first Papercraft Star Challenge!  To start the first challenge off right, participants will not only have a chance to win the Papercraft Star People's Choice award (a very smart looking blog button for our winners) and move forward into the finals with two other winners over the next several weeks to have a chance to win a coveted Papercraft Star Winner button in the finals we'll hold every three weeks, the first winner of our first challenge is also going to receive a nice little package of papercrafting goodness mailed right to their home! We are so looking forward to all of your entries so check out the challenge list on the sidebar...it's not too early to get started crafting for the up-coming challenges!

Hi everyone, my name is Stephanie and I am so excited to have been selected for the Papercraft Star Challenge Design Team. I have been creating in some form since I was a child and absolutely love the creative process. I love to make cards, layouts and altered items and find my day is just not complete if I haven't spent some time in my scrap room.

Hello Crafters! My name is Catherine and I am so thrilled to be on the new Design Team here at Papercraft Star! Just a little bit of info about myself. I live in the great Lone Star State (Texas) with my husband, and we both teach at the same high school. I have been scrapbooking off and on for about 10 years, since I was in high school. I enjoy all types of paper crafting, but more recently chipboard/mini albums and cards! Since it is summer and I have loads of extra time... I am trying to do a project almost everyday!

Hi, my name is Regan. I am excited to be a Design Team member here at Papercraft Star! I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful little girls, and I have been married to my best friend and the love of my life, Daniel, for 6 years in July! I enjoy doing anything crafty and I love to crochet! I started scrapbooking back in middle school, but I was reintroduced to scrapbooking and card making about 3 years ago and I haven't turned back!

Warm Up Challenge While We Wait...

Today I was wondering what we could be doing on the Papercraft Star blog while we anticipate the return (from vacation) of our other Judge Kristina, the announcement of our new Design Team and the first challenge.  Then I thought...why not host a "just for fun" sketch challenge?  Yay! 

Here's the deal.  We have our new buttons that we'll be giving away all ready to go... so, the winner of this challenge will be the FIRST person to EVER receive the new Papercraft Star People's Choice Award button.  Doesn't that just make you wanna SING!?! lol.  Okay, maybe I'm being just a bit over the top...but it'll be fun just the same.  Since we only have until Saturday when we announce the Design Team, we are going to have to work fast... which means you do too, so I don't know how many people we can really get to play along because of this short notice...but I guess we'll find out now won't we??!!. 

Enter your project between now and June 10 at noon (Eastern Time). Then the voting begins and will end in the morning on Saturday June 12.  We'll announce the winner of this "just for fun challenge" AND the new Design Team members at the same time!!!   Yipppeeee!
